Schools Join the Fight to Ensure Housing for Vulnerable Children and Famlies

Story of Impact from Minnesota’s Housing Scorecard, Feb. 2020:

Housing Goal Four – Increase Home Stability

Homework Starts with Home, a state-wide initiative  that grew out of efforts in rural Northwest Minnesota, brought together multiple state agencies and philanthropies to provide stable housing for at least 200 families and  400 school-age children. Using this program, Clay County Housing and Redevelopment Authority is on its way  to providing rental assistance, case management, and  other housing services to 60 families in the region. This program is proven to increase student attendance and  to increase parent incomes. Watch the video about the Homework Starts with Home program.
